Top Food and Drink Apps Performance on Android in Italy, Q3 2024

In the third quarter of 2024, the top food and drink apps on the Android platform in Italy demonstrated varying trends in downloads and active user engagement, according to Sensor Tower data.

McDonald's saw fluctuating weekly downloads, peaking at around 33K in early July before a downward trend with minor upticks, ending the quarter with approximately 22K downloads. The app's weekly active users began at just over 1.3M, experienced a dip to around 911K by the end of July, and closed the quarter at approximately 888K.

TheFork - Restaurant bookings experienced a peak in weekly downloads in early August with around 42.7K, followed by a decline to about 13.4K in mid-September, then a slight rebound to 19.6K by the end of the quarter. Its weekly active users remained relatively stable, starting at 63.6K and ending the quarter at 65.6K.

Too Good To Go: End Food Waste displayed a steady increase in downloads throughout the quarter, beginning at 13.8K and reaching nearly 27K by the end of September. The app also saw a consistent rise in weekly active users, from approximately 293K at the start to over 354K at the end of the quarter.

Burger King Italia maintained stable weekly downloads, with a notable increase from 13.3K in early July to a peak of 17.6K in late September. The weekly active users mirrored this trend, starting at 125K and fluctuating to close the quarter at about 123K.

Deliveroo: Food & Shopping showed varied download numbers, beginning at 12.8K and ending with 13.6K. The app's weekly active users demonstrated resilience, starting at 295K, dipping mid-quarter, and then recovering to finish at nearly 296K by the end of September.
